General product questions

Why don't most of your product descriptions say "BPA-free"?

Mainly because we don't carry anything that contains BPA! BPA (bisphenol-A) is a chemical often used as an additive in soda can linings and to make plastics clearer or softer. Materials like cotton, glass, and wood by default do not contain BPA. In addition, products that are made in the USA are much more tightly regulated during manufacturing and labeling as BPA-free, which is one of the many reasons we believe USA-made is great!

Is everything you sell made in the USA?

Yep. That's our first criterion for products we're considering carrying, and it automatically limits the number of affordable, attractive reusables to choose from. We're so picky that we require our manufacturers to use materials that are grown or made in the USA as well, which is why you don't see anything made from stainless steel (sorry folks, stainless steel is made in China). In fact, Libertybottle has taken their commitment to domestic production to the max: even the machines they use to produce their water bottles are made in America. When they couldn't find what they needed locally, they had their machines custom made.
